RNLI coffee morning


This year’s Weymouth RNLI lifeboat station will be held on Wednesday 13th November from 10.30am to 12.30 pm at Weymouth pavilion. Entry is £1 which includes a cup of coffee/tea. As well as the usual stalls, there will be entertainment by the Dorset Wrecks. The draw for the donated oil painting and six prints of the painting UpHaullya by Jan Nelson will take place.
The tickets for the draw cost £1 and can still be purchased from the Cove Gallery at 9 Trinity Street or from the lifeboat station RNLI shop. They can also be purchased online at
The donated painting is worth £1,500 and is titled ‘Uphaullya’ which is a Viking word representing Jan’s Viking heritage and also a play of words on Up Haul which is part of the rigging for the Spinnaker sail which is so dominate in the painting.
In addition to the first prize of the original painting, Jan has generously donated 6 Limited Edition Giclée Prints worth £300 each.
