 Baby Toby John Keates was christened on Sunday 29th April 2012 on the Weymouth ALB 'Ernest & Mable'
Wearing a special T-shirt saying ‘crewman in training’ the baby took pride of place on Weymouth’s all-weather lifeboat yesterday where his dad Matt and grandad Graham crew members.
The ceremony was held on the vessel outside the lifeboat station on Nothe Parade.
Matt was the first baby to be christened on the Arun class lifeboat'Tony Vandervell in September 1985.
Since that day a number of crewmembers childern have been blessed using with the water in the upturned ship’s bell,
the service was undertaken by The Reverend Anne Dunn from Holly Trinity Church. |
