Portland C.G requested lifeboat assistance to a 12.5 m yacht 'Oryx' with jammed rudder 24' SSW Portland Bill.
ALB Paged and launched.
Once on scene the casualty was passed the drogue and briefed on the tow.
The bridle and tow passed and tow commenced back to Weymouth harbour.
On the passage back the drogue was lost due to the line parting.
Once at the harbour entrance, tow was dropped and the vessel brought alongside the lifeboats port side and towed up the harbour.
Wyke C.G IRT was in attendance and vessel moored outside the harbour masters office.
ALB released to return to station, refuelled and made ready for service
