Portland Coastguards requested lifeboat assistance to a 24 meter French fishing vessel disabled with its fishing gear fouling her propeller 15' South of Weymouth.
ALB paged launched and proceeded.
Once on scene towline passed and towed commenced back to Weymouth Harbour.
After a period Crossma Cherbourg informed the lifeboat that the vessel had managed to clear her propeller.
The tow was dropped and the vessel made its own way back to the fishing grounds.
Lifeboat was released to return to station where it was refuelled and made ready for service.
